SCA is Leading Advocate Securing $117.5 Million in Small Shipyard Assistance Grant Funding
$100 million in the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and $17.5 million in the 2009 Appropriation Omnibus have been allocated to the Maritime Administration for the Small Shipyard Assistance Program. SCA was the leading advocate for increased funding levels, as well as expanding program applicability to cover more shipyards. The grants are competitive based and can be used for capital improvements and training.
